Feeling refreshed after taking last week off, Topeka native and Kansas Jayhawks alum Gary Woodland will be playing over the weekend at the U.S. Open while some of biggest names in golf are headed home.
Woodland sits at 145 through the first two rounds, one-over-par for the championship, to make the cut. One more bogey and Woodland would have joined the other big names, such as defending champion Dustin Johnson and former Masters champ Bubba Watson, who missed the cut.
Woodland is trying to return to his early-season form.
