With Baker University’s first appearance in the NAIA football title game since its only other time in 1986, the Wildcats hope to break through on something that none of its team sports has accomplished—a national championship.
After a dramatic comeback in the semifinals against Eastern Oregon, the Wildcats (14-0) are breathing new life in Daytona Beach, Fla., where the title game will take place (5:05 p.m. CT, ESPN3) against Saint Francis (12-1) of Fort Wayne, Indiana.
