Fans and Teammates Reflect on a Tragic Loss

Time.  Something we take for granted.  We thought, with time, that Yordano Ventura would be one of the best pitchers in baseball.  But Yordano’s time ran out tragically with a one-car accident that took his life at age 25 in his native Dominican Republic.  Though we figured that there would be so much more, the right-handed Ventura provided Royals fans with some electrifying pitching moments in his shortened Royals career. Past Pittsburgh Playoff Game Brings Good Memories

It was in January, 1994, when the Chiefs last won a playoff game at Arrowhead Stadium.  Against the Pittsburgh Steelers. It started a three-game playoff journey following the 1993 season that included stops in Houston’s Astrodome where the Chiefs shocked the Oilers, then the AFC championship game in Buffalo where quarterback Joe Montana’s bid to lead the Chiefs to the Super Bowl fell one game short.  What kind of run will this week’s game against Pittsburgh produce?  Click here for full story with audio at KCUR.org

 

Phoenix and Kansas City Linked for Sunday Night NBA Game
